Girls want their MP3s too
Published on04/26/07

Mattel has jumped onto the MP3 bandwagon by planning to release a hybrid fashion doll that plays MP3 songs this July. Dubbed the Barbie Girl (how creative), this 4.5" device comes with a mere 512MB of internal memory, but salvation is at hand thanks to a miniSD memory card slot that can take in another 2GB of storage space. Retailing for $60 a pop, the Barbie Girl come with a belt clip, earbuds, and a storage case of sorts. Just like real dolls, you can also purchase additional plastic pets and other accessories to dress up the doll. Hit or miss? You decide. Should this take off, expect to see Ken make an appearance as well.
