Microsoft Live Messenger on Xbox 360

Microsoft aims to bring together both PC and Xbox 360 gamers by announcing compatibility of its Windows Live Messenger program for Xbox Live users. This means gamers will be able to chat with their PC counterparts via the console, and this is made more convenient with a QWERTY text-input device that connects directly to the Xbox 360 controller. This new accessory will be made available to the masses in the U.S. this summer and a yet undisclosed price. Image courtesy of Gizmodo. Hopefully the buttons on this keyboard are as easy to press and use like those found on the Treo line of smartphones.

this thing is a piece of junk. its not compatable with any games cause microsoft is too lazy to make it act like a usb keyboard. They would sell 90% more of them if it was compatable with Phantasy star universe and FFXI. But again microsoft is too stupid to realize this!!

This is pretty stupid. They need a way to change the accounts from child to adult. It should do it automatically, though, because you are supposed to enter your date of birth. They need to fix this quickly!!!

sorry guys we're outta luck, although she did say that they are working on a fix for the child/adult account problems :-)

i have also had this problem and microsoft say on thier website that as the player gets older and becomes an adult it still efcts them to be an child account , i have tried to find a way to so call hack this as the age taking is by ur email adress, i tried changing my adreess and then i trie changing my hotmail adreessi did so but xbox didnt update it:9 any ither ideas?/????

any way? email me jcs2007news@hotmail.com if u know a way to use it, and also u should be able to use it on childs account, just go to parent account and enable messenger but no microsoft is to cheap to do that, i just turned 13 and i thought 13 was when it turned on but no! i was also extremely disappointed that i couldnt see the content on xbox live slide and stuff and also the messenger thing WHICH SUCKS!
