Alpine IVA-W205 car deck
Posted on May 9, 07 08:15 PM PDT

Alpine has recently released its IVA-W205 car deck that suits those who love customizing their car stereo system since all the other functions are centered around the 6.5" QVGA touchscreen display. The touchscreen display comes with the added advantage of offering tactile feedback, ensuring you know what you're pressing without taking your eyes off the road for added safety. The IVA-205 supports XM or Sirius satellite radio receivers, iPods, GPS navigation systems, is compatible with most MP3 players that boast USB connectivity, HD radios, and even handsfree audio from your cellphone via Bluetooth. The IVA-W205 ought to retail for somewhere in the $1,000 region.

What did you pay for installation? Or should I ask, if you buy online, what should I expect to pay for installation.
I saw a demo of this unit and was immediately sold. It's a really nice unit, and the integration of the blackbird is perfect for my household; the wife can use it when she needs it which makes it an easy sell.

just got it installed. AWESOME! pretty average learning curve for electronics. The "add ons" ADD up pretty quickly if you want to take advantage of the many options. I started with the iPod adaptor only, but should have gone with the Bluetooth, USB, and 1/8 jack cords right at first. The unit has to be removed to add these features. The extra cords are cheap compared to the cost of r&r the head unit.
