Concept House-Off Switch
Posted on May 30, 07 11:34 PM PDT

Ever left the home only to have that nagging feeling that you did not turn off all the switches? The House-Off Switch concept, should it be realized, would definitely put to rest all these fears as it functions as the central switch for the entire home. Unfortunately, I seriously doubt this idea will take off since you will need certain appliances to keep running even when you're out of the home, such as security cameras, the all important refrigerator, and even garden lamps that turn on automatically in the evening. Apparently designer Jack Godfrey Wood shares the same sentiment as me, and has included a more expensive version of the same concept by making an allowance for appliances plugged into 'safe' sockets that won't be affected by the House-Off Switch's status.

B&O has a system like this since many years... wireless too.. it switches off/on all B&O equipment, but can also switch off/on lights, open/close curtains or whatever you would like to program/connect to the Beolink.
