Grundig offers new MPixx MP4 players

Grundig has signaled its intention to be a serious player in the low capacity portable media player market by releasing the MPixx 2001 FM and 2002 FM, where the former comes with a 1GB capacity while the latter takes in more songs with double the memory. Features include a 1.8″ TFT LCD 65k color display, an integrated FM radio, a voice recorder, as well as support for MP3, WMA (DRM), WAV, SMV, and MPEG 4 formats. The 1GB and 2GB models will retail for €79 and €89 respectively. It would have been nice to see Grundig throw in a memory card slot of some kind to expand upon the 2GB model, since that space is nigh laughable in this day and age. Which kind of player do you prefer? The one with a large capacity where housekeeping needs to be done on a monthly basis, or a low capacity version that requires constant renewal of your playlist?
