iMep iPod boomboxes

Boston Innovative Products have come up with a modern take on the old school boombox, featuring iPod connectivity (a must if you want to survive in the portable digital entertainment scene) as well as a 7" TFT LCD display which boasts a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9 (perfect for watching movies on the go without suffering from squinty eyes) at a resolution of 1,440 x 234. These Apple-licensed products, the iMep MP-701-388 and MP-702-388 share similar features, save for the latter that comes in a wide variety of colors. Not only do you get to play your favorite DVDs and iTunes movies, and analog TV tuner has also been thrown into the fray to widen your entertainment options. I like the idea of having an LCD display on a boombox, but chances are you'll be replacing D batteries faster than Garfield finishes his lasagna. Specifications for both products are available after the jump.
