Mitsubishi unveils new LCD monitor

Mitsubishi has recently unveiled the LDT421V, a 42" LCD monitor. Yes, you read that right - a monitor offering 42" of real estate viewing space! Unfortunately, the WXGA resolution of 1,366 x 768 doesn't do it much justice since everything will look rather large and blocky, but it is not meant for office or home use but instead target the retail and commercial markets such as theaters, information kiosks, and other public display venues. Specifications aren't too hot with a brightness level of 500 cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 1,500 to 1, and a response time of 8ms. Connectivity options include analog and BNC RGB, HDMI, component, S-Video, or simple composite. The LDT421V will be released this May at the recommended retail price of $3,995.
