Paradigm shift with warm laptop issue
Posted on May 23, 07 09:20 AM PDT

Here's an interesting take on laptops - while others are busy trying to keep theirs cool, why not turn this apparent disadvantage around by using it's heat to keep you warm? Clement Eloy has fleshed out this paradigm shift by creating a pair of slippers complete with a powerbrick-sized slot that helps keep your toes warm and comfortable during those frigid, freezing winter nights. There is no thermostat on this thing, so the best way to keep yourself warm is to overwork your laptop with processor intensive tasks. I suppose the same concept goes for your desktop computer - just turn the entire thing the other way round, using the fan behind to blow out warm air at your legs.
