While the Rio Karma is but an ancient relic, this MP3 player is still shown some love by Steve who modded his own Karma to include flash memory. While the net capacity has been reduced from 20GB to 8GB by removing the hard drive and replacing it with a CompactFlash card, the best part is the Karma recognized the new memory without a hitch, performing faster than it ever did before. For those who are still waiting for an official flash-based Karma, best of luck. The rest of you impatient and curious yobs can break open the toolbox and start tinkering…
