Rogun humanoid robot recognizes faces
KornTech of Korea has successfully invented the first humanoid robot named Rogun that uses a high-end face tracking software and integrated cameras to recognize people. It might be short in stature (standing at a mere 1 meter), but it is definitely long on features. Rogun walks on both feet and can act as a nanny or security guard, depending on the situation. This is one guard that won't fall asleep during duty, nor can it get its food spiked. Whenever strangers visit an empty house, Rogun will inform the home's owner of their presence. A 7" LCD display on its chest keeps children occupied with the latest episode of Barney whenever the parents aren't around. Rogun currently retails for more than a hundred grand each, although KornTech aims to reduce the price to less than $5,00 within the next few years. ( Add a comment)
