Safety Cellphone developed

More often than not, talking on your cellphone while navigating a busy intersection on foot is dangerous as your attention will be more focused toward the conversation than the road. Oki Electric Industry has developed the Safety Cellphone that uses a miniscule DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communication) wireless module embedded within. The DSRC will notify vehicles within the vicinity as well as retrieve location information of DSRC-equipped vehicles in order to prevent the occurence of vehicle-pedestrian accidents. Sounds pretty interesting and is definitely more accurate than GPS systems talking to one another. I can't wait to see a commercial version hit the market.
