Sonim XP1 a toughie
Those who lead an active lifestyle and often take long weekends off to hike through a forest trail will definitely find the Sonim XP1 cellphone handy. This handset is yellow in color, making it extremely easy to spot in the wilderness and comes with large strips of black ribbed rubber which is distributed through the body to provide a non-slip grip. Features include a couple of extra loud speakers and a walkie talkie button to keep you in touch with your partner. It boasts IEC lP52 rating for protection against water, dust, salt, fog, and humidity and is shock protected from drops of up to 1.65 meters in height. At £233.83, it isn't exactly cheap but at least you won't worry when your toddler uses this as his hammer during playtime.

Got one yesterday, threw it in a bucket of water, then dropped it in a post hole with wet concrete in it, and dropped a 2.4m 100mmx100mm into the hole, pulled out phone and it was fine, so far so good. Bluetooth is a bit of pain to get working without full manual instructions tho!

excellent phone, sturdy, probably lasting 10 years of misuse: buy only if you don't want to change cell phone every weekend...
