Sony Electronics has taken the plunge into the world of HD radio by unveiling the XDR-S3HD table-top console radio as well as the XT-100HD hideaway tuner module that is compatible with the majority of Sony car stereo systems. The XDR-S3HD was designed to reflect an older era, featuring a cherry table-top cabinet complete with stereo speakers and a large backlit LCD display. Features include AM/FM/HD tuners, an alarm clock, and treble and bass controls among others. The XT-100HD radio tuner is a hideaway module that also feeds artist names, song titles, station names, genre, and other info to the car stereo display. The XDR-S3HD and XT-100HD retails for $200 and $100 respectively when released this July.
