The closest iPhone clone yet

Now this is an iPhone clone that definitely gives the real Apple product a run for its money - design-wise at least. Hailing from where else but China, the P168 has copied virtually every visible part of the iPhone even down to the wallpaper. You get half a dozen (!) speakers for 3D surround sound, along with five different keys for basic operations whereas the iPhone relies on the touchscreen solely. Features of the P168 include a 3.5" QVGA touchscreen, dual SIM support, and a 1.3 megapixel camera (despite the misleading 2 megapixel word printed behind). Will something ever be done with IP laws in China to prevent such blatant ripoffs that could mislead people?

I ordered the P168+ yesterday, I am wondering about the text messaging mode. For this phone, is it keyboard or keypad? I realize it's a touch screen.. Just wondering if I am going to have to learn how to text if it is like a computer keyboard!

I have the i68 Sciphone and I completely hate it. It has none of the features that the manual states it has. I'm wondering if there is some way to completely reset the phone. I did a complete reset through the settings menu but nothing changed. I've tried engineering mode but that didn't help either. I can't get bluetooth to work unless I completely reset the phone and if I turn the phone off, bluetooth doesn't work when I turn it back on. Also, there is no FM radio. Can someone help me figure out why this phone is being this way? Thanks.

I have the Sciphone I68 and I like it except that there are still a few thing I haven't figured out yet.Is there anyone who has the manual for it. Also I have my mms set up like the settings for the p168 I was sent buy my seller and I can send text messages but not multimedia I get error in communication. I can also not use media net. I have it set up a my home page for my wap but when I try to purchase anything with my media net account it says device is not supported. Please help.

very important: Should you one day restore the mobiles (under settings).
- If you restore the mobile. pls be advised, the mobile goes back to chinese language, means you have know
(before) were the setting for the language is :-)))
then if you restore the mobile a pin is requested. input 1122 ==> ok. Then the mobile reboots. Afterwards you
receive a white screen with chinese letters,
touch the screen. Afterwards you have to calibrate the screen(with the pen) again. Mobile starts again ==>
finished/done

I have both the iphone and the CECT P168 I think the iphone is better, easier with the touch screen and internet. The CECT P168 you almost always need the pen to navigate thru the phone. Even to dial numbers, and you can't use any automated features when you like call a bank and they want you to type in your account number YOUR DEAD in the water!! NEEDLESS TO SAY THE SCREEN DOESNT ROTATE!!!!!!!!!!

I have never seen anyone try to use their P168 as a modem - don't know if it can be done.
The new JaVa32/Y32/Sciphone/i68 is a great new phone. the settings are the same as the P168 but it is a TESTED quadband - 850 MHz had full bars - the JAVA works perfectly - I loaded games onto it and they also worked great. This is the phone that we all have been waiting for - a good iPhone clone with java. I will no longer be selling the original P168+ as the new 850 band LH01 without java and the JaVa32 are much to nice to continue selling the original phone with 5 buttons.
The new LH01 850/1800/1900 band phones and the JaVa32/y32/i68 will be on www.zydaglo.com in a day or two and shipped from Tennessee. Watch for the new YouTube videos in about 4 days.

This phone was never a quad band, the US imports were split between having the low end band at 850 or 900 and the upper bands are supported for the rest of the planet. The 850 band is worthless for areas outside the Americas, and visa vera. Check out your phone in the engineer mode, see what yours is.

In the US, the phone only works on the 1900 band, t-mobile has the most coverage on this, ATT in urban areas, and hit and miss for all others, if your company uses the 850 band (or its' roaming partners), you must have the 850 band (many sellers lie about having the 850 band).

Hi! Ok, so I just got the iphone clone P168, and I put my Tmobile sim card in it, and I have the internet with my plan, but the phone keeps saying "GPRS not found" and doesn't let me go on it. The CECT P168 phone works with AT&T. You need to make sure your band is in auto mode and it will detect your card. If you are still having problems, go to AT&T and they will issue you a new card. the updated their cards so you may need a new one.

It reads the sims. I have ATT now that it bought out cingular and my sims works just fine in my other quad band phones. Why not this one?

Are you on something? This thing gives Apple's iPhone a run for its money - Design wise? What are you smoking? This things looks like it was designed on an etch a sketch by my 3 year old. They could have made a better copy by using better quality materials and by implementing on Apple's design, not make theirs worse looking.
