TOTO Washlet S400 ups bathroom ante

The Japanese always had the most advanced toilets in the world, and this is further stressed by the TOTO Washlet S400 unit that offers a modern fit into any existing plumbing and electrical connections. At the push of a single button, the TOTO Washlet S400 gives you a hands-free experience, performing all the wiping and drying tasks, making you feel like a sumo wrestler (they have their apprentice to do those tasks for them for obvious reasons) in the process. Even the toilet seat will be raised and lowered automatically when nature calls, ending marital spats about toilet seat issues. You gotta have deep pockets for the TOTO Washlet S400 though as it costs $1,474.20 and above, depending on the configuration.

No, this is a commong misconception that washlet is a Japanese invention, also when one talks about it, people often respond with scorn, saying that Japanese inventions are always weird... However it is actually a WESTERN invention. So much ofr Japanese weirdness, huh... Even Toto themselves say they bought the patent from a US company which had patented such a device in the 70's or 60's. There is also another company, which is Swiss, and they say they invented the shower toilet. Anyway, this is not a Japanese invention. The Japanese market was the first market where this combo bidet toilet found widespread success, in other countries it stayed limited to old and handicapped people. The Japanese just had the foresight to think this kind of device could interest the general audience.
