Globetrotters certainly have plenty of stuff to pack each time they leave on a trip. Chargers for numerous devices are essential items, but many a time different countries require different adapters that are not used in your native country. This Universal AC Travel Adapter allows you to hook up a wide range of plugs on one side, where turning the knob selector will reveal a whole bunch of plug blades on the other end. A simple twist gives you instant access to power outlets in over 150 countries. At $17 a pop, they aren't exactly cheap but it certainly gives you peace of mind that you can get to work straight away after touch down without looking for an adapter there.

Not useless without a power converter. Many devices now come with universal power supplies - laptops, DVD players, cell phone and camcorder chargers, etc. But they still use US plugs. This looks like a neat solution to the plug dilemma. It is pretty pricey though - I can pick up a 5-pack of European-to-US converters for $5 on eBay. I guess this would be most useful for people that travel a lot to DIFFERENT countries.
