While Bluetooth enthusiasts are proud of their 10 meter range, they would be utterly pleased to know that the AIRcable Host XR device from Wireless Cables can achieve a range of up to 30km when installed professionally, thanks to an 18 dBi directional antenna. All you need to do is hook up the AIRcable Host XR to a computer's USB port and you're good to go. It is compatible with Linux, Mac, and Windows platforms, boasting support for nearly all Bluetooth profiles available. Since the AIRcable Host XR is bus-powered, there is no need to lug around a power supply everywhere you go. Looks like I can now make my Skype calls from the office using my home's Bluetooth Skype headset :P
