Alexandria loudspeaker burden to wallet
With the movie release of Transformers just a couple of days away, everyone is all hyped up about robots that decided to use the earth as a battleground. While the Wilson Audio Alexandria Loudspeakers won't be changing shapes anytime soon, it comes in a bizarre enough design for you to expect that it would. Apparently it employs "upper frequency driver modules that adjust linearly to optimize time alignment" while each module rotates on its polar axis in order to achieve optimal driver dispersion in most rooms. Sounds like a whole lot of marketing drivel, and get a load of this - the Alexandria Loudspeakers retail for $200,000 a pop. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to sell off my house and my left kidney in order to afford a pair of this for my busking performances.

Sorry to burst your bubble but
Bose = Absolute Garbage.

HThe only good sounding Bose speakers were the 901's which were released in about 1968; since then Bose has spewed their amazing marketing campaign on the masses and brain-washed people into thinking that they make good sounding speakers. Everything they make is, like Sony, all hype and no substance thanks to their great marketing departments. All I can agree to your comment on Wilson's is B&O sound like crap- which is on par with the Bose systems.

Wilson makes some of the best sounding speakers that I have ever heard, and I have auditioned very many speakers in the true audiophile realm. Maybe you had a dud, or the supporting equipment you had was not up to par.

The speakers are trash, just like most other speakers out there such as Klipsch, B&O, and Wilson.

I used to have a set of Wilson Speakers and I am proud to say I threw them out. I will never forget the day watching the garbage truck pulling up and crushing those pieces of junk. They looked just like the picture, too. Now I have a better Bose System.
I don't know how many times I am going to have to say this.

Bose is the best. For all applications. They always were the best, they always will be the best.
