Altec Lansing has taken the next step by enlarging its portfolio to include home theater systems. The Powered Theater line will ship this August, offering booming sound in a small and svelte form factor. There will be a couple of models available - the PT8051 and PT7031. The former is a two piece system, while the latter is goes solo. The slim form factors are guaranteed to complement your slim plasma/LCD TV in order to create a harmony of design in the living room. Both Powered Theater units utilize NXT flat panel loudspeakers for realistic sound. The PT7031 and PT8051 is tipped to retail for $600 and $1,000 respectively.
