Cellphone recycling bins in Japan

Everyone knows that Japanese have one of the highest cellphone penetration rates in the world, which is why the mounting problem of older handsets is met with an answer in the form of a Cellphone Recycling Bin. NTT DoCoMo and am/pm Japan are working together to install a Cellphone Recycling Bin in convenience stores, making it a cinch for folks who have upgraded their handsets to bin their old ones. The Cellphone Recycling Bin has been designed to prevent theft and will take in cellphones of all makes and models. Sounds like a great idea, especially when folks throw away their unused handsets eventually anyway.
