Disposing off bombs is pretty risky business, which is why it is always better to have robots do it than a human. The CUTLASS unmanned bomb disposal vehicle fits the bill perfectly, enabling the user to work on military and improvised explosive devices without risking one's life. The CUTLASS was designed in a manner that accomodates a whole range of payloads, sensors, and tools, where its manipulator arm and gripper boasts nine degrees of freedom for unprecendeted movement and agility within confined areas. The half dozen wheel design enables the CUTLASS to traverse both hard and soft terrain no matter the weather condition. I wonder when will insurance premiums for those in the army drop with such advances in technology.
