iPod Shuffle clone going cheap

iPod Shuffle clone going cheap
At first glance, you might think that the MP3 player on the right is a bona fide second generation iPod Shuffle, but one look at its $14 sticker price gives the game away. In addition, the Play/Pause button has been placed incorrectly, while the connector on the same side as the headphone jack is sorely missing. At that price, it will probably come with at least 1GB of memory and offers MP3 playback at the very least. Since it is assembled in China, chances are it will support the same range of audio formats found on other knockoff products. If you catch cheap iPods on eBay, it is best to be extra wary. More often than not, taking the chance of picking up an iPod on the cheap often ends in tears and regret when a clone arrives instead. ( Add a comment, Search on eBay)

Hmmm... 1/4 the price, 1/4 the battery life, none of the apple crap, same great package. (Similar)

The only law possibly broken there, is similarity of design. (Though, unless apple has a design patent in china, there is no law broken. Patents are not world-wide dominance.)

There is actually enough re-design, that stops it from being a patent issue. The case is plastic, not aircraft aluminum. The connections are NOT the same. It has a LED light. Only the buttons, which apple stole from "Creative Clones", which were an unpatentable design, since they have been in operation for years, without a patent, on DVD players, and CD players, now used on MP3's.

That Apple is just as bad as MS. They sell you an MP3 player that costs them $2.00 to make, for $78.00, and you defend them? You are morons!

Rice is rice, why pay twice the price! (Does it make you feel batter, knowing that we all know you are a moron, for paying twice the price? Or are you really upset, because you didn't wait to buy a clone for 1/4 the price?)

Funny... You only THINK there is an Ipod craze... Actually, it is an iPod Clone craze... You just got suckered into paying for some overpriced belt-clip. (These are not new. These came out before iPod was released. iPod was stupid enough to release a big hoop-lah about the release, one year before marketing began.)

OMG, they are made in china?!?!? Most of apples parts are made in china. Most of the stuff we all use is from china. Even the things that say made in japan, or made in the USA. (They are designed and marketed and assembled in the USA, but the stuff inside is manufactured in china. Otherwise apples would be twenty times more expensive than they are now.)

I have actually got myself one of these clones and they are ok, a bit short on battery life, (2.5 hours compared to 12 on a genuine), but at .99p why not get two or three and interchange them?!!. For running purposes 2.5 hours is well adequate for the week as I run for 20-30 mins a time. But for any longer, well, like I said, buy two.

If you're going to write a negative article about a product, the least you could do is give some details. Why would I regret the purchase? It doesn't have the Apple label or it doesn't sound good? Come on - give some details! If the buttons don't work, then I won't buy it. But I could care less if one of the connectors is on the opposite side. Do you have any experience with one of the clones or do you just work for Apple?

DETAILS not just opinion!
