More info on Palm Gandalf
Looks like we have more skinny on the Palm Gandalf smartphone. This will be a 3G-enabled handset that comes with HSDPA and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, and the biggest news would be the availability of a couple of versions. There will be a Windows Mobile 6 version, while another will run on a new version of the Palm OS - minus the touchscreen capability, of course. The Gandalf boasts a 2.4" QVGA 65k color display, 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM, and a 2 megapixel camera in addition to all the usual multimedia facets. The Gandalf tips the scales at 135 grams and measures 117mm x 65mm x 13.8mm. Word on pricing and availability are still unknown, although it looks most likely that Vodafone will remain as the initial carrier. Is it me, or is the Palm OS just as resilient as the Sega Dreamcast, where both just won't die a quiet death?
