MSI unveils GX600 gaming notebook

Gaming is big business, but unfortunately most notebooks don't pack enough punch to offer a decent gaming experience while you're on the road. MSI is offering the GX600 gaming notebook that comes with pretty impressive specifications, all packed into a 5.7lb package. The GX600 features a button not found on computers for years - the beloved "Turbo" switch. Pressing it will engage the Acceleration Mode that increases the processor's front-side bus while raising the overall clock speed by 20%. Pressing the same button will return everything back to normal. Sounds neat, but it will definitely be a power guzzler. Strange to see the GX600 retain the obsolete PCMCIA Type II slot in favor of the ExpressCard format. More specifications are available after the jump.
• Intel Core 2 Duo processor• 802.11n wireless technology
• Intel PM965 Express chipset
• HDMI and S-Video outputs
• 1.3 megapixel webcam
• Gigabit Ethernet connectivity
• PCMCIA Type II slot
• Optional Bluetooth
