Rock, paper, scissors go digital

Published on 06/14/2007

Strange to see a traditional child's game like rock, paper, scissors take the digital route. I seriously wonder which parent or guardian in their right mind would actually spend $8.89 on a set of these devices just because their kids are too spoilt to actually use their fingers for things other than button mashing on the home console. All you need to do is push the button and the keychain-sized device will display a pre-set pattern. It would be nice to see the score being kept digitally, but at that price point, you can't really expect much. What about wireless connectivity with other similar devices in the same area? That would be a pretty novel idea, only if the DS and PSP were nothing but pipe dreams.
