Solopipe lights itself

The Solopipe is a pretty neat idea, featuring a self-lighting pipe that requires you to place your weed in its bowl and slide the lid over it. Open the lid and pull the lighter's trigger, and you have and instant mobile smoking station you can call your very own. One improvement could be the inclusion of a stash compartment that allows you to inject the optimal amount of smoking substance into that bowl, but perhaps we'll see that in the next iteration. At $80 a pop, I don't think the Solopipe will fly off shelves anytime soon, but it is worth saving for if convenience if your cup of tea.

About six years ago, I came across a "solo pipe" that was completely different. Instead of being one solid piece, the lighter and pipe were connected by a hinge. This allowed the pipe to set horizontally while the lighter remained vertical. Other than this main characteristic, the "solo pipe" was pretty much the same. If anyone knows about this, please post a response.

I got a Solo Pipe when they first came out & I use mine to smoke my American Spirits loose tobacco, and I have to say, this thing is genious for tobacco smoking! Using a pipe to smoke tobacco is still the best way to smoke in my opinion, but the one draw back is usually that you have to light the bowl so often to keep the tobacco lit. With the SoloPipe, you're stoked because of the convenience factor! I have to recommend the Solo Pipe to anybody who smokes their real tobacco, too. This thing ROCKZ!

i just got one and this thing rocks! it came with a cleaning kit that works really well, also came with extra screens and a little pouch (which i've never actually used).
I think it's cool, the fact that it's metal is OKAY considering how many glass ones i've broke and surprisingly it ddidn't leave the "taste" associated with other metal pipe.
Also, it isn't wind proof but since you have an extra free hand you can easily block any wind. Especially handy at the beach or this winter when i go snowboarding. The free hand also helps while driving (HUGE PLUS)
Since nobody knows what it is, don't be surprised to go into concerts, games and events and nobody associating it with something you "shouldn't" have. To them it's just a crazy lighter.
The bowl is fairly big so you can pretty much pack a day's worth of tobbaki in there without needing a second container.
A bit pricy, but isn't everything when it first comes out?
I got mine from www.buyasolopipe.com for 69.99 with free shipping!
