Thanko keyboard goes silent

Published on 06/ 7/2007

Thanko has recently made available its Silent Keyboard for those who often work late into the night, and this Japanese-layout USB keyboard comes with silicone springs that minimizes the amount of sound generated when you're pounding away at the keys trying to finish up that 10,000 word report before noon. Each key generates only 6.0db of noise when pressed, compared to the 30.9db generated when typing on a standard keyboard. In comparison, a residential-area library late at night will generate 40db of noise. Truly, this is one silent peripheral that makes an interesting purchase. The Thanko Silent Keyboard retails for $33.17.
