TomTom drops GO 520
Posted on Jun 8, 07 10:58 AM PDT

TomTom will be phasing out the older GO 510 by releasing the newer TomTom GO 520. The successor to the GO 510 won't be available across the pond though, as it will be an Europe-only release, featuring local maps depending on the country where you bought it from. Features of the GO 520 include a 4.3" widescreen WQVGA display, a 400MHz processor, 64MB RAM, 1GB of internal memory, Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated FM transmitter, and an SD memory card slot all packed into a 118mm x 83mm x 24mm package. TomTom has also enabled speech recognition in certain European countries, giving users the option to speak the address instead of typing it in.

Well that expains why I can't find the U.S. version of the 520 for sale anywhere on the internet. Any idea what the closest U.S.-market version is? The 720?
