WiFi on an SD card
Posted on Jun 13, 07 12:44 AM PDT

We've seen word in the past on Eye-Fi releasing an SD memory card that comes with built-in WiFi functionalities for digital cameras, and that fateful day is now nigh upon the horizon. They have released SD memory cards that come in capacities of up to 2GB, enabling you to upload images to photo sharing pages such as Flickr as long as you remain within the vicinity of a wireless hotspot. The 2GB WiFi-enabled SD memory card is expected to fetch a market price of approximately $100, but remember the extra money goes to its WiFi capabilities. As mentioned before, no SDHC support is provided, so we can forget about toting around WiFi cameras with 8GB SDHC cards in them. Bummer.
