BODiBEAT from Yamaha

Nike might have collaborated with Apple to come up with the Nike+iPod kit, but Yamaha hopes to carve a niche for itself in the fitness market with the BODiBEAT device. Touted to be the first music playback device in the world that synchronizes your music to the movement of your workout, the BODiBEAT comes in the shape of an armband that remains securely in place even under the most strenous of situations. Built-in sensors will be able to detect the speed of your current workout for example, increasing or reducing the tempo based on your movement. This works great to maintain your current momentum, while giving you a chance to relax when you slow down. Yamaha's BODiBEAT will be available later this summer. Best of all is, you don't need to purchase special shoes to use this, saving a handsome amount of dough in the process.
