Chinese get Cect 599 iPhone clone

Check out the Cect 599 cellphone from China. I can't help but wonder whether the naming convention has anything to do with the 8GB iPhone's price. Nevertheless, the Cect 599 comes with a 3.2" WQVGA touchscreen display at 240 x 400 resolution, Bluetooth connectivity, dual speakers, and a 1.3 megapixel camera, all packed into a body that weighs a mere 90 grams. It lacks internal memory of any kind, but thankfully there is a microSD memory card slot to cover up for its weaknesses. The Cect 599 isn't too big on features though, as video playback is restricted to just 176 x 144 pixels. At $150 a pop (unlocked), I'm not sure if you want to pick one up the next time you go for a holiday there.

People have been asking how to change the language??
Well, here's how :)
After the phone is on, go to the menu (press on the wallpaper =]), then on the 3rd row down, on the 1st column, see that round'ish thing with rounded spikes. Select the second option down, number 2.
Then select the 3rd one down, number 3.
Select English :)

I have just received a CECT 599 but it displays in Chinese - does anyone know how to change this to display in English please? The Manual is in CHinese and a similar model English Manual was sent but this is very basic. As all screens display chinese it is not easy to navigate!!!

people, in china there is not just one factory who use this brand CECT, i think here is every second company use CECT for mobiles phones, because they make clones and copies of the mobiles phones, so its impossible to found them. The handy from China, they are cost that money like you pay, its around 150-180 USD per mobile and you got pretty good mobile phone and sometimes even with dual sim cards. I hope my comments would be useful for someone.

Anyone know how you do the "funny voice" function?
And also anyone know why, when i try and sync music to my phone, it says memory full, even though it has a micro sd and nothing is on phone yet? Seems weird

I got the phone and i love it. There is no English Manual out there yet but mine was set to English before i got it and i was told they would make an English Manual soon. I got mine from a US seller his email is cectphones@gmail.com . He really helped me and supported me when i got the phone. There is a new released watch phone from CECT i might cop that too. Thank God for CECT !!!

Dony let anybody lie to you. This phone does not work in USA or Canada. Its still in the triband mode but they releasing another model that would have that feature and better which would work with USA or Canada . Anybody interested in them or the CECT 599 can contact me at cectphones@gmail.com

hi , if your phone does not recieve the text name ,, what u need is 2 of the same numbers saved twice .. ie mark 0789564231 and +44789564231 . this will show the name on ringing in and texing .. hope u understand .. if not email me at marknjeni@orangehome.co.uk.

Yes, it should work in Canada, it works on 3 bands, so pretty much everywhere. Just make sure it is unlocked
