Fuel cells on display in Japan

The Wireless Japan Exhibition this week certainly gave fuel cells plenty of attention, and Toshiba certainly took the opportunity to make the most of it by parading its Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) that will be used to power different devices via USB within a year. Fuel cells are way more efficient than the lithium-ion batteries that we have today, and this bodes well for cellphones that seem to come saddled with more and more power-hungry functions by the day. Not only that, you won't have to worry so much about filling up our landfills faster than expected since fuel cells won't be disposed off that fast as regular batteries in use today.
