Kanguru goes green with Eco Drive

Kanguru definitely aims to do its part in keeping the earth green with the launch of its new Kanguru Eco Drive which avoids the use of hazardous materials during manufacturing while sporting a trio of power saving modes that reduces the drive's power consumption by up to 75% when compared to a standard hard drive. Lower power consumption means a longer operational life for the drive, which is always a good thing considering the amount of important data stored inside. These new Eco Drives will come in various capacities ranging from 80GB to 750GB, and all of them feature 7,200rpm, USB 2.0 connectivity, a vertical stand, a power supply, and a custom carry case. SATA versions are in the works and will be available in the near future, but at this moment the 80GB and 750GB models will retail for $94.95 and $349.95 respectively.
