Netgear has just announced its Storage Central Turbo SC101T that gives users the flexibility of adding in a couple of 3.5" SATA drives to a network for convenient, centralized data storage. This makes the Storage Central Turbo SC101T a descendant of Netgear's Storage Central NAS which was launched a couple of years back. Designed to connect to a user's existing wired Ethernet network while offering a centralized storage repository to all computers hooked up to the network, there is now no excuse to back up your data when told to do so. Features include Gigabit Ethernet and disk mirroring support, making access speedy while boasting redundant copies of data in case of drive failure. The Netgear Storage Central Turbo SC101T will retail for $199 a pop minus the drives.
