New Bravia HDTVs cater for blind too

Sony's upcoming line of Bravia HDTVs are not only for those with a working pair of eyes, but cater to those who are blind as well. This is made possible by including Audio Description (AD) capability into each new Bravia HDTV, with the ultimate aim of increasing the number of programmes, broadcasters, and TV manufacturers to offer a similar service. AD works by being an additional narrative soundtrack for blind or partially sighted people, where gaps in dialog enables a voice to explain visual plot points to give a better mental picture to the blind. Sounds neat, eh? I wonder how they're going to explain adult and mature channels...
