Paint by Numbers grow up

Published on07/19/07

The Nintendo DS platform has offered a fair number of games that take an unorthodox approach, and this title from Mercury Games in no different. Dubbed "Paint by DS", you can tell as much by its title that this is a digital coloring book that allows players to digitally recreate masterpieces from renowned artists of the past. The DS stylus is used to mix oil and water-based paints, creating colors and consistencies which is followed by painting the artwork itself. There are 15 paintings in all to master in addition to mini games and puzzles. Paint by DS will be released in Europe this August, with a Q4 release date slated for the US. What is the quirkiest DS title you've seen to date?
