Sharp first to have THX-certified TV

Sharp is well position to be the first company in the world to market a THX-certified television. Known as the T-series, these new LCD TVs will come in 52" and 65" variants, offering viewers the best match of brightness and contrast along with home theater level quality for the best viewing experience possible. Features include a brightness level of 350cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 2,500 to 1, a trio of HDMI input, a single DVI input, two FireWire ports, and Ethernet connectivity. They certainly won't come cheap though, with the 52" LV-52TH1 and 65" LV-65TH1 retailing for $6,873 and $11,599 respectively. I guess casual movie lovers will hardly find the better performance a tradeoff worth the hefty price, but purists will disagree with me, sparing no coin when it comes to quality.
