The Wii has certainly spawned more accessories than either the PS3 or Xbox 360 to date, thanks to the inventive games available on the console. Accessory manufacturers are trying to do their level best to increase the level of realism within a Wii game, and the Wii Airplane Controller Stand is one of them. It is actually a placeholder with a compartment to store your nunchuck on the left side and the Wiimote on the right side, getting ready to tackle any future flight simulators. I think the Wii would be more suitable for fast-paced arcade action shooting rather than gliding idly through a city in a jumbo jet.
