Air Ray remote-controlled blimp
Posted on Aug 28, 07 09:22 AM PDT

While most blimps that you see are nothing but clumsy and ugly helium-filled balloons, the Air Ray takes a different approach by being shaped after the graceful manta ray. Made by the good folks over at Festo, the Air Ray is capable of flying like the manta ray using the "Fin Ray Effect". It currently works great indoors, but bring it outside and chances are strong winds will make short work of it just like those tiny remote-controlled helicopters.
