The Boom Borda motorized skate board could end up as a pretty nifty intra-city mode of transports, since it comes with a 400 watt electric motor that enables it to travel up to 15 miles on a single charge. Needless to say, the heavier a person is, the more energy is required for transportation so real world performance will probably be significantly lower than the quoted number. The Boom Borda features ABS-style brakes and uses a digital handheld radio pistol grip controller as a means of getting around without bumping into anybody or other obstacles.
