Canon PowerShot G9 debuts

Published on 08/20/2007

Canon has a new PowerShot in town, and this time the G9 will oust the G7 digital camera. As with anything new, expect to see some positive changes such as the highly sought after raw shooting mode, a newer and brighter 3" display, and the new 12.1 megpaixel 1/1.7-inch sensor. Other features that tag along with the PowerShot G9 includes face detection, improved focus and handling, compatibility with Canon's ST-E2 wireless flash transmitter, and the 6x optically-stabilized zoom. Not only that, you can print directly to a printer without the need for a computer to stand in as the middleman since the PowerShot G9 also supports PictBridge compatibility. Are you planning to upgrade your digital camera anytime soon? If yes, will you be taking the Canon PowerShot G9 into consideration?
