DS Slide Controller released
Nintendo isn't content with resting on its laurels, quietly releasing the DS Slide Controller a few days back. This controller features a certain degree of motion-sensing features that is required to play a puzzle-style game known as 'MagKid, Slide Adventure'. A circular motion will generate a 'power-up' action while side-to-side zigzagging helps you navigate through a maze while avoiding enemies in the process, and rapid jerks are performed to attack opponents. The DS Slide Controller looks as though it will further expand Nintendo's net to gather up casual gamers from all walks of life. This device is currently available in Japan only for approximately $48 (including the game) - with no word on whether this will be released worldwide at a later date.
