Firefly Mobile gets new design
The kids' oriented Firefly cellphone will receive a redesign in the near future, assuming the FCC approves gives their nod of approval. The original Firefly handset was pretty limited in functionality, enabling kids to only call their parents for help. The redesign, also known as the W100, comes with a proper keypad now in the form of a touch-sensitive area that changes according to the task at hand. For example, whenever you want to dial a numner, it will feature a numeric keypad but when you select a game, directional arrows will appear. Other features include audio and video playback and a camera of unknown megapixel count. Hopefully this candybar handset will be durable and pass the little brats' test with flying colors.
