Harry Potter Talking Sorting Hat

The Harry Potter Talking Sorting Hat sure holds a lot of merchandise promise, and I am surprised that it was not released much sooner. Most kids would go wild wearing one of these on top of their heads, seeing just exactly which Hogwarts house they belong to. Now, this thing is entirely random so don't expect to stick with Gryffindor all the time. Other than voicing out the assigned house, it will also quote several lines from the Harry Potter movies as well. The authenticity of the Harry Potter Talking Sorting Hat is enhanced by its size - measuring 20" tall. A great purchase at $49.95 if you plan on dressing up this Halloween.

Actually it is not random. It recites the same few lines in the same order over and over. And when I say a FEW lines, I really mean VERY FEW. It never even puts anyone in Ravenclaw at all. This was a much anticipated product that has turned out to be a MAJOR disappointment! On top of all this, the product packaging gives incorrect information. It says that the hat requires 3 AAA batteries, which it says are included. They are not included. Then, after making a special trip to the store to waste money on AAA batteries, we find that it does not even use that size battery. It actually requires AA. This product is a real rip-off and a huge letdown. Don't buy it!
