HP sneaks in Compaq 2210b
HP's Compaq 2210b was released without any fanfare recently, bringing us yet another convertible tablet PC that comes with a 12" touchscreen display located on a swiveling hinge. It shares the same 1.1" chassis as the 2710p, except that the 2210b is blessed with a slimmer and more efficient power display. HP will throw in a Core 2 Duo processor and a 2.5" hard drive while ditching a 3G modem in the process. The low-end model will ship with a 1.8GHz processor, 512MB RAM (what the!?), a dual layer DVD writer, and a 120GB hard drive, and specifications (as well as price) can go nowhere but upwards from there. I am writing this on a HP 2210b, this is NOT a tablet pc.. I will make it clear, HP 2210b as purchased in australia is not a tablet PC, to the best of my knowledge it isn't a tablet pc anywhere else either.
