Imagine Cup sees great concepts
The Microsoft 2007 Imagine Cup saw South Korea play host, and there were certainly some interesting ideas that could be developed further to help benefit mankind. A team from Thailand took top spot, developing a special computer software that is capable of reading documents aloud to illiterate individuals. That would be great in Thirid World Countries where many people still don't know how to read and write. The home team took second place on the podium with their own software program that works in tandem with a special glove fitted with special sensors. The software will convert both spoken and typed words into vibrations on the sensors, making it easier to communicate with a deaf or blind person. Here's to seeing these brilliant ideas get implemented soonest possible. ( Add a comment)
