Iomega portable HDD gets 250GB

Iomega has raised the stakes when it comes to external hard drives, releasing the 250GB Silver Series that plods along at 5,400RPM. The Silver Series of hard drives come in a metallic body and measures a mere 0.5" in thickness, and is capable of functioning quite well even after suffering from minor drops thanks to the drive head that parks automatically whenever a fall is detected. Each Silver Series hard drive will come bundled with versions of EMC Retrospect Express backup tools for both Mac and Windows platforms. The 200GB and 250GB models will retail for $180 and $230 respectively.
