LG U990 answers the iPhone
The iPhone shines in terms of user interface, but hardware-wise, it stumbles along. The LG U990 looks a little like the iPhone, although it surely boasts superior hardware specifications such as a 5 megapixel pixel with Schneider Kreuznach optics for great looking candid shots, a 120fps video camera, 3G HSDPA connectivity, up to 170MB of internal memory, an integrated music player, and a lovely 240 x 400 touchscreen display. The LG U990 is set to hit the UK sometime this fall, and could make its way to the US next year. Either way, there is no word on pricing at this point in time but you can bet your bottom dollar that it won't be cheap!

Great Phone! Touchscreen is very responsive, it's user-friendly, sound is good - not sure why there are so many negative comments on the sound - it's as good as any other phone out there; bright screen, headphone comes with usb and normal jack, camera is fantastic! Only 1 negative - LG should have made the stylus a part of the original phone and made a holder for it instead of making it a separate dongle.

Most places i know of are charging for wifi, why pay twice, this phone will be very good and unless people are stupid enough to jump on the iphone american bandwagon then i'm sure the 990 will sell out in every shop it is sold in.

@Bob

So we dont have to pay extra to use web features when a WiFi network is available perhaps...

David,

Why would it need Wi-Fi when it's got full broadband access via the network?

What, no WiFi?
If everyone is kicking Apple for not adding 3G to the v1 iPhone, then surely people should kick LG in the danglies for not adding WiFi (unless they forgot to mention it)
