Mio launches A501

Mio Technology has just made available its A501 smartphone that packs in more than meets the eye. In addition to standard cellphone functions, the A501 is also equipped with a SiRFStar III GPS chipset to make sure you never get lost in unfamiliar territory ever again (although it won't do much to cure tardiness). Included with each purchase are thousands of Points of Interests along with maps of 22 European countries. Strange to see why the A501 is stull running on Windows Mobile 5.0 when everyone else has already moved on to Windows Mobile 6.0. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera with flash and an SD/MMC memory card slot for expansion purposes. At £339.99, I'm sorely disappointed that it doesn't even feature 3G connectivity.
