SimulScribe: the text voicemail via email

Aug 2, 07 04:50 PM PDT

Simulscribe

[Always On - Standfor Summit] I just met with David Gerzof the Chief Marketing Officer of SimulScribe. For some reason I hate listening to my voicemails whether they are on my home answering machine or from my mobile phone. So did SimulScribe founder, James Siminoff, according to David. I love getting my voicemail as audio files embedded in my emails. SimulScribe is the only service like that who is offering the text transcription (to my knowledge). Voice recognition is not an easy technology to develop and it does not work very well if you want to get a perfect copy, but it is just good enough for checking voicemails.

Liekwise, SpinVox in the UK have been offering this service for over 18 months now and it works very efficiently.

This is the same service that Callwave has been offering for a while now, and all for free.

Vonage offers a service to their customers that we switched to [based on per vmail fee which is pretty cheap]. I was on simulscribe for 6 months trying to convince their staff w/o success that their voicemail file quality was WAY too low, and that a lot of their 'transcriptions' came out really funny [interpretation] even though the voicemail that was left was as clear as can be. :(
